Do you want a dog that can run for miles and milesand miles?
If you do, then donotget a Bulldog. (They don't jog. They waddle.) However, they should go on long walks regularly like any other dog. Bulldogs are NOT aggressive dogs, they are not 'performance' dogs, they are above all else 'characters' and 'clowns'.

Do you want a very obedient dog who will salute on command?
Bulldogs are not stupid but they canbe very stubborn and they tend to have selective hearing. This does make them more dificult to train. More and more bulldogs are earning titles such as: Companion Dog, agility and tracking.

If you live in a hot climate, your Bulldog might need special care in the summer.
Bulldogs tend to overheat in hot weather (sometimes) and care should be given in the form of shorter walks or walks at night. Use common sense!!!! Carry ice with you, most Bulldogs love ice. Do not exercise them in the heat of the day.

Do you want a dog that will live a long time?
You should know that Bulldogs, generally, live 8 to 10 years.
